What we need:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations, this role will specify, develop and implement Digital Edge operational standards, processes and procedures across our facilities and support the Country Data Center Operations team to ensure consistency across the region. This role will be based in Singapore.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage product specifications & vendor selection, including drafting the RFQ, managing the tendering process, and evaluating and selecting vendors. Product categories include, but are not limited to, Structured Cabling & Cable Support, Cabinets & Accessories, Cage design & build, Cold/Hot Aisle Containments and Security Access & CCTV Systems
- Shortlist and maintain a list of qualified vendors for key products and services, with competitive pricing and shorter delivery lead times
- Support the planning and auditing of various certification programs, including ISO 27001, 14001, 45001, as well as implement any new programs, and ensure standardization and aligning of data center operations across the business
- Maintain and ensure operational documents are updated regularly, including Security Operations, Change Management, Incident Management and Naming Convention documents
- Prepare data center operations performance reports for customers when required
- Actively champion and increase awareness of their responsibility to occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization
The Successful Candidate:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or IT management
- 8+ years’ experience in facility management, data center and/or security operations
- Experience in certification programs, developing operational processes, and in tender and vendor management preferred
- Good project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English, Mandarin and an additional Asian language will be an advantage
