[Mumbai, India – April 6, 2026] – Digital Edge India today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the recent appointments of Sairam Prasad as Chief Executive Officer, and Kamlesh Harchandarni as Chief Development & Construction Officer. Digital Edge India is a joint venture
between Digital Edge and National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), focused on building India’s next generation of cloud and AI-ready digital infrastructure.
These appointments reflect Digital Edge India’s continued investment in India as it scales beyond its Navi Mumbai (BOM) campus, strengthening leadership depth to support development, delivery, and long-term growth in one of Asia’s fastest-growing digital economies.
Sairam brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across digital infrastructure,
telecommunications, power systems, and renewable energy, with senior roles spanning India, Southeast Asia, and Africa. He has led large-scale operations, complex project delivery, and digital transformation initiatives across multinational organizations, including Reliance Jio, Tata Communications, Idea Cellular, Bharti Infratel, and Axiata Group. Most recently, he served as CEO – Global OMS at Suzlon Energy Limited.
As CEO India, Sairam will lead the business through its next phase of growth, focused on delivering scalable and sustainable digital infrastructure throughout India, including advancing the company’s 350+MW cloud and AI-ready hyperscale Navi Mumbai campus.
Kamlesh brings over 30 years of professional experience, including more than 18 years in the data center sector, with deep expertise across the full project lifecycle. Most recently, he was Vice President and Head of Design & Development at CapitaLand Data Centre India, where he delivered approximately 200+MW of capacity and supported multi-site expansion planning.
In his role, Kamlesh will lead design and construction across Digital Edge’s India portfolio, driving disciplined execution, cost and schedule certainty, and sustainable delivery. He will play a key role in enabling capacity expansion, while addressing critical challenges such as energy availability, sustainable design, and next-generation cooling technologies.
