Digital Edge today announced two significant milestones at its Navi Mumbai campus, with BOM2 reaching its topping-out milestone and construction commencing on BOM3.
The two buildings are progressing in parallel as Digital Edge delivers new capacity against strong customer demand for cloud and AI infrastructure in India.
Located within Digital Edge’s planned 400 MW Navi Mumbai campus, BOM2 has now reached structural completion, while construction is underway on BOM3. Together with the operational BOM1 facility, the three buildings will bring the campus to close to 120 MW of cumulative capacity.
“Reaching these two milestones at the same time reflects both the strength of customer demand we are seeing in India and the ability of our team to deliver large-scale capacity against that demand,” said John Freeman, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Edge. “Our customers have significant growth requirements in this market, and our focus is straightforward: deliver the capacity they have committed to, at the scale, quality and timing they expect from us.”
The continued development of the Navi Mumbai campus forms part of Digital Edge’s broader expansion in India, as cloud and AI customers scale their infrastructure requirements across the market. Developing multiple phases in parallel allows Digital Edge to match the pace and scale of those customer deployments while creating a long-term platform for further growth at the campus.
Designed to support next-generation cloud and AI workloads, the Navi Mumbai campus incorporates a range of sustainability initiatives, including direct renewable energy procurement, recycled greywater and advanced cooling technologies designed to improve operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
BOM1, which is already operational at the campus, has achieved LEED Gold certification, establishing the sustainability standards being carried through the development of BOM2 and BOM3.
